Not one, but two coil systems are used to provide an unmatched level of support and durability. The primary support system is the weight-bearing portion of the mattress, consisting of up to 1,283 tempered steel Bolsa Coils®️ that run edge-to-edge. Since each coil is connected to the other with fabric, motion transfer across the mattress is minimized. That means less disturbance when your partner gets in and out of bed. Around the perimeter are firmer coils, called Quantum Edge, which produces a stronger and firmer sitting area. This steel edge is a substantial upgrade from foam encasement (used by many other brands) and will provide better edge support for a longer period of time.
The second system is added directly above, which includes up to 1,764 Nano Coils®️. These smaller coils work with and conform to the body more effectively than the primary system alone. Plus, more steel in the equation means a longer life span and less change over time.
Above the support system are two types of comfort padding. The first is the best of the best, Natural Talalay Latex. This is the most durable and breathable padding currently on the market. It does a wonderful job at conforming to the body and will change the least amount over time when compared to standard upholstery foams. Latex is a great choice for those that have struggled with discomfort in their lower backs, as it will provide pressure relief and support simultaneously.
*Unlike other foams where an additive is used to create a cooling effect, latex is naturally breathable. Air can pass through it 5 times better than memory foam and 2 times better than other latex. It does an excellent job at maintaining a temperature neutral sleeping surface.
Underneath the latex is a layer of extra-firm, 2.8 LB upholstery padding. This provides a strong, flat surface for weight to be applied and yields a firmer feel than latex alone.
At the very top is 1″ of luxurious quilting, providing the classic look and feel you’d expect from a handcrafted mattress. A blend of cotton & Tencel fibers will keep air flowing efficiently throughout the night.

Although we designed this to be a firm mattress, the quilting yields just the right amount of cushion and alleviates pressure points right at the surface. Great for stomach and black sleepers that like to lay “on” their mattress instead of “in” it. The quality and comfort of the Belleair Firm is comparable or better than high-end name brands that cost hundreds or even thousands more.
