Why Tampa sleepers skip the chain stores

Most mattress stores in Tampa sell the same national brands at the same retail markups. Each mattress passes from a component supplier to a factory, a distributor, and a retail chain before it reaches you, and every link in that chain adds margin. We removed all of it. Which collection fits how you sleep?

A quick rule of thumb from three decades of fitting Tampa sleepers to mattresses. Side sleepers usually do best with a cushioned top over a supportive core, which points toward the Gold Collection’s latex and gel foam layers. Back and stomach sleepers tend to want something firmer and flatter, where Silver models shine. Couples with different preferences often land on a split king across two adjustable bases, each side built to its own firmness. And if the mattress is for a guest room or a rental, the Coral does the job for a fraction of what you’d expect to spend.

Prefer to skip the delivery fee? Our in-house roll-packing machine compresses any mattress except the Coral models into a sealed bag that fits in a back seat or trunk, free of charge. Most mattresses use tempered steel coils, so an ordinary packing machine won’t do the job; ours runs two high-strength hydraulic presses and four chain-driven motors. We’ve packed roughly 2,000 of them, and watching a king come out the size of a duffel bag never gets old.

Got a second home out of state, or family up north who want the same bed? We ship every mattress except the Coral models via UPS to any of the lower 48 states, boxed using that same roll-pack method and delivered like any other parcel.

Custom sizes for RVs, boats, and antique beds

Tampa is full of beds that don’t match a standard size chart: RVs and fifth wheels parked for the season, sailboats and cruisers at the marinas, antique four-posters passed down through families. We’ve spent more than 30 years building custom-size mattresses for exactly these cases. Bring us the dimensions, or a template for curved corners, and the workshop cuts and builds to your exact spec.

Boat and RV berths are rarely simple rectangles. They taper, they round off at one corner, they butt against a wheel well. A tape measure and a piece of cardboard traced to the actual shape are all we need to build a mattress that drops in without a fight, in the same materials as our standard collections. Camper, fifth wheel, van, antique bed, or European size, the process is identical.

Every mattress we sell includes our free 100-night comfort adjustment, a program we’ve run for three decades. Give your body about two weeks to adapt to the new bed. If the feel still isn’t right anytime up to night 100, we’ll open the mattress, then add, remove, or replace padding until it is, with no charge for labor or materials. Your mattress gets adjusted instead of landfilled, and you don’t gamble hundreds of dollars on a guess about firmness.
